Apple unveiled its latest phones, the iPhone 17 series. That is updates to three known models and the new iPhone Air, that is replacing the iPhone Plus. If lining up in a queue on release day isn’t really your style, and you still wish to secure one as soon as possible, you'll be able to place a pre-order for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Air from 10pm AEST on September 12, ahead of the September 19 release date.
Aplpe’s iPhone 17 has a fresh design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and slimmer bezels. And after a long wait (and a ton of grumbling), the base iPhone 17 finally gets a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the new A19 chip is quicker and also more optimized, especially when teamed up with Apple Intelligence. If you are upgrading from an older iPhone, you will see a huge jump in speed and better gaming performance courtesy of ProMotion.
About the camera, you'll find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) and a 2x telephoto lens. The ultra-wide camera also gets an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography crisper and much more refined.

The iPhone 17 will come in black, white, steel gray, light blue, green, and purple.The iPhone 17 Air is set to come in black, white, light gold and sky blue.
The Pro and Pro Max models will be offered in colours including blue, orange and silver.
